About the Prizes Group

The Enlightener Prize is awarded for the best popular science book written in Russian. Established in 2008 by Dmitry Zimin, the founder and honorary president of VimpelCom, and the Dynasty Foundation, a non-profit organization. Since 2016, the Prize has been supported by the Zimin Foundation.

The prize aims to support Russian-speaking scientists, science journalists, and translators who are skilled at presenting the latest discoveries and research in an accessible and engaging manner.
