Submissions

Rules for entering the Competition in 2025
Applicants must submit their application form to the competition in accordance with the conditions outlined in the Regulations. Please note that the submission requirements have changed compared to previous years, including changes to the content of the Application.

  • The application must be submitted electronically via a Google form on the website www.premiaprosvetitel.ru.
  • Five (5) paper copies of the books, if available, must be sent to the Organizing Committee only if the books make it to the longlist.

In 2025, applicants may be (according to the country of publication):

  • representatives of the Zimin Foundation
  • publishing house
  • permanent staff member of a state museum
  • university professor from an accredited institution
  • permanent staff member of a research institute within the national academies of sciences, national medical academies of sciences, and societies protecting and managing copyright
  • corresponding member and full member of national academies of sciences, national medical academies of sciences, and societies protecting and managing copyright
  • the jury members of the Enlightener Prize
  • supervisory board of the Prize.

The application must include a document confirming the author's consent for the book's participation in the competition, as well as confirmation that the author is familiar with the competition's conditions and procedures.

Books considered for the competition must meet the following requirements:

  • genre conditions of the Competition (non-fiction literature on any topic),
  • originally written in Russian,
  • currently on sale (not second-hand), regardless of the publication date
  • manuscripts that are in the process of publishing at the markup stage are accepted as well
  • manuscripts are accepted only when the applicant is a publishing house.

The competition does not accept:

Scientific monographs, school and university textbooks and manuals, journals, biographies, and memoirs. Each book can be submitted to the prize only once, regardless of whether it was provided as a manuscript draft or as a published book.
