Moscow: Architecture of the Soviet Modernism. 1955-1991. Travel GuideAnna Bronovitskaya, Nikolay MalininThe book Moscow: Architecture of the Soviet Modernism. 1955-1991. Travel Guide describes around 100 objects of the least appreciated era of the soviet architecture. This is the first Moscow travel guide which deals with architecture of the 1930s as a complex phenomenon, from Krushchev to Gorbachev - that is from naïve thaw modernism to postmodernism. The travel guide includes the Palace of Pioneers, the Ostankino TV Tower, the Rossiya cinema, TASS building, the “golden brains” of the Academy of Sciences and also less popular projects, for instance “The House of the New Life” or AZlK museum. The authors of the book, Anna Bronovitskaya and Nikolay Malinin, invite the readers to see these ambiguous structures in a broad historical, cultural and political context, as well as to think about them in the context of the global architecture of the second half of the twentieth century. The photographs were taken by Yuri Palmin. Moscow: Garage Museum of contemporary art, 2016
