Nadezhda Pankova works and lives in the forest. She regularly walks around the territory in water boots in summer and on skis in winter, checking camera traps and launching a quadcopter. Sometimes she even has to sit in a tree, persuading an alarmed mother boar to let her pass. This book was born from Nadezhda's field notes and sketches — a documentary series, a real guide to the world of the protected forest. The short stories are linked by common themes: the author describes her work in the natural park, accompanying her artistic narrative about her favourite representatives of animal families with popular introduction into zoology.
